List of Super Hot (92+ degrees) Pools revision 3/16/16 Below is a list of super hot (92+ degrees) pools. I release this list to public domain. Feel free to make a website or whatever from this list (let me know the URL and I will link to it). Use this information as your own risk. Some informations are questionable, out-of-date, or possibly dead wrong. Do check the details. UPDATE 3/16/16: In the past, I made this list for myself while looking around for retirement housing. I am no longer looking and plan not to edit this list. In other words, if you send me more pool informations, I will not bother to do anything. I have decided to join the waiting list for Valley Village in SE corner of Santa Clara. I will probably use the pool at Timpany Center in San Jose and check out the pool at Santa Clara Senior Center. If you need to reach me and have my business address (i.e., rs***), you will reach me quickly. Otherwise use my forum address, shengchieh@linuxmail.org (I see this a few times a week). ----- Super hot pools 1. Betty Wright Aquatic Services Betty Wright Aquatic Services (formerly Betty Wright Aquatic Center) 3864 Middlefield Rd Palo Alto, California (650) 494-1480 http://www.abilitiesunited.org/BWSCwelcome https://www.facebook.com/BettyWrightAquaticCenter 10/4/13 email quoted: The Betty Wright Aquatic Center pool, built in 1968, has been a community resource successfully serving children, their families, and adults for over 45 years. Our utmost priority has always been focused on quality aquatic services delivered to the highest level of health and safety standards. However, due to age-related structural and engineering issues that can no longer be repaired, and after exploring all possible options to keep the pool open, we regret to announce that the pool must be permanently closed effective October 4, 2013. However, this does not mean the end of the Betty Wright Aquatic Center for our community. The BWAC team will continue to offer aquatics wellness services to our participants who use the pool to manage chronic pain at existing partner sites; the Palo Alto Family YMCA and the San Jose State University Timpany Center. We are also pursuing partnerships with other local pools throughout the area where swim lessons and aquatic fitness classes will be provided by our BWAC staff. We will simultaneously research new locations where all aquatic services; wellness, fitness classes, and swim lessons: can be offered. As alternative service options are identified, the BWAC staff will contact each of you via email and phone to explain your options. Visit their websites for the latest information. Also there is long-term plan to rebuilt the pool. See old news at http://www.paloaltoonline.com/news/2014/04/15/abilities-united-to-redevelop-all-facilities 2. Pool at Berkeley High School Closed early this decade. Sorry, I do not have details.
